a catch of unwillingness

Hello,

Does the following self-made sentence sound natural to your native ears?:

“She sensed a catch of unwillingness in his voice, so she changed the subject.”

Imagine she asks him a question that he’s reluctant to answer. I think it is not good this way, but perhaps “catch” can be changed to “touch”.
