Dear all,
I am stuck on this. Which preposition do I use? I want to tell a friend that I have a collection of books collected by my father (who passed away).
Can I say "I have a collection left from (by or after) my father"? Thank you all.

    Since the construction is similar to the passive, you want by.
    It's a story told by many people. He was a man loved by the whole nation.
