There is a phrase; "Karim told us it should be a matter of a couple of short days before the truck was fixed.".

The context is that a father and a son is trying escaping from their hometown and arrived in somewhat place to change

a transportation to the bus but it had been already out of order there.

And I dont get it "short days" on it.

I googled what it was but there was nothing but like something related to plants.

Thanks in advance. :)

Sometimes people want to emphasize that a time period is "short" -- especially if it is the time period you must wait.

So they say "only two days" or "just two short days". The days are ordinary -- it's just a way to express "two days is a short time to wait".
