Hello. I have a doubt with this sentence:
His indictment of a culture finally going down on itself

The only translation I can think of is something like:

Su crítica a una cultura complaciente

I'm not sure about "complaciente". I'm interpreting a culture going down on itself in the sexual meaning, but I don't know. I'd like to have another opinion.
    Thanks

There's no more context. The sentence is just the reason why the writer recommends a film (called The Last Big Thing) about a guy ("an anti-hipster") that goes around L.A. trying to "expose the L.A. fame need that infects the city". That's the only thing I have.

    Thanks, aztlaniano.

If you said auto-complaciente, that would include "on itself".

I completely agree, greenheyes. I fact, that's what I meant to write, but I didn't. Thanks. So, you think it's a good translation for the sentence?
