Football player was assessed yesterday by several magazines as following:

"Magnificent" - Marca

"Especially outstanding" - The Guardian

"A cyclone at both ends" - As

Could you explain the last one or give a synonym for it?

    "A whirlwind at both ends" which I take to mean a player good in defence as well as attack. "Cyclone" or "whirlwind" probablyly refers to his speed and energy.
