    Hi all,

A dad's friend and a dad friend (of mine) - they don't seem to mean the same.

My guess is that a dad's friend is a friend of my father's and a dad friend of mine is a friend of mine who happens to have kids.

Is that right? Thanks in advance.

Hi, your own idea makes sense to me,.

I have to say I cannot imagine using the dad friend pairing myself, I would understand it if I met it in a relelvant context.

I'm afraid neither of the pairings sounds natural to me, 4faces...:(

    Where did you find them?
