A dark night through a dewy/watery eye is as beautiful as pearls scattering here and there in the sky, and as mysterious as will o’ the wisps dotting the darkest universe.

HI,
I wrote the above on my blog.
Is dewy equal to watery in the context? IF not, what's their difference? Thanks.

I think "dewy" or "watery" eye are synonyms here, Arueng. "Dewy" sounds better for flowery language. "Watery" would be the ordinary term.

    Thanks, Mr Owl.

What about a misty eye? Is it the same as a dewy or watery eye? Thanks again in advance.

It's pretty much the same thing: an eye that has watered because the mind behind it became emotional about something.
