Hi )) If I am an English teacher and writing down homework for my students in the Teacher's Register Book ...... how should I write instructions with pronouns talking about my students in 3rd person. An exapmle of my writing (see point 3 on my list):

1) to read the text on page 36
2) to do ex. 3, p. 20
3) to draw a family tree of one's own ...........................................................?

You are "talking" directly to the student who reads the instruction so you shouldn't use third person.
    3) draw a family tree of your own family.

ok, let it be "writing" ABOUT my students in 3rd person. This is not meant directly for them, but let say for the manager ))
