Hello everybody!
I have to translate this sentence and I can't grasp the exact meaning: "Apollo was a favoured son of Zeus".
It means Apollo is THE favourite son of Zeus or that Apollo is ONE of Zeus favourite sons?
Thanks in advance,
Sara

    Hi there Babinhu,
It is not really clear from the English whether Zeus had other favourite sons apart from Apollo. I would go for "one of the favourite sons" if there is no other option in Italian to conserve the ambiguity (could you not say "era un figlio prediletto di Zeus"?)
My bet would be that out of 92 sons, he must have had at least one other favourite!

    Jelsah:)
