I was wondering if it can be said something like "Is it a few number of people?" when asking whether the figure of the number of people in a place is low or not... That is to say, when asking (in Spanish) "Es un número pequeño de estudiantes el que está reunido?" or sth like this...
Thanks in advance!

You could say 'there are only a few people there' = not many people
or, in question form, 'are there only a few people there?'

'few' can't be used with a singular noun (a number)
