Does the underlined part sound right and good to you? If not, how would you express the idea? Thanks.

I love that word Chinglish - it's the first time I've heard it!
I'd say a fierce lecture has a slightly different connotation - an older child, or an adult may get the lecture, while a small child may get the scolding. There is not much difference in meaning overall.

I like that too, depending on what the child did and what the mother had to say. A scolding is stronger than a lecture, a lecture is longer than a lesson in this context.
