A five percent maximum

  • I believe both alternatives are correct, though I think the first one sounds better. Anyway, I advise you to ask in the English Only forum to get answers from English native speakers. Then again, a lot of them speak great Spanish and come to this forum too, so you will probably hear from them here.

As Lady B says, both are correct, but would be used in different contexts. Can you give us the whole sentence?

    THE WHOLE SENTENCE IS:

SILK SCREEN PRINTING: It can dissapear till a 5 percent maximum.

    THANKS IN ADVANCE...
    DIANA

I suppose it means that, when you have an image on the screen of the machine and you print it on silk, a maximum of five per cent of the image may disappear in the printout. Is that so?
