Hello, everyone. Could you please tell me what does this sentence mean?
A growing awareness of how to apply some of the key skills has also been shown.

This sentence comes from an academic progress report, the context is like below:

You're welcome to quote up to four sentences to give us the context. It would be helpful if you did that -- the link to your image file will probably disappear someday. Thank you.

Thanks for your remind. Below is the context,
This is a very good mark for this stage of the programme. Much of the work produced has shown a high level of understanding.A growing awareness of how to apply some of the key skills has also been shown. If this level of performance is maintained a very good grade for this module will be achieved.

The student or students are showing a growing awareness (becoming more aware) of the ways they can apply some of the key (most important) skills that we are teaching.

In other words, does it mean "It seems that the student now knows more and more clearly about how to apply the skills learnt " rather than "The student has shown an increasing intention or awareness to apply the skills learnt into practice"?
