Hi, I am trying to translate the phrase 'a hero's welcome' into Spanish. Does it translate literally - into 'una bienvenida de héreo'?

    Gracias!

    I think so ,

    una bienvenida de héroe.

By the way , can you give us the context where you saw that sentence ?

Sure - 'yesterday, Zinedine Zidane received a hero's welcome'. Thankyou!

    Maybe:
el recibimiento (digno) de un héroe

Ok, so what is the difference between 'bienvenida' and 'recibimiento'?

Not much. Just like "welcome" and "reception", but in my opinion the second sounds better in this case because it's common to talk about "ser recibido como un héroe".

"Ayer Zinedine Zidane fue recibido como un héroe"

    Saludos :)
