    Hello.
    I believe we would just say gypsy-style though that could be derogative these days in English which I don't think it would be in Spanish.
    Agreed. I'd also understand "gypsy-style" (not derogative in Spanish from Spain).

    But, Bluebell, as Chileno says, we'd appreciate it if you could give us the full sentence and some context. Personally, I think it's necessary.

    Lo he visto en una receta 'pollo a la gitana', pero también he visto 'sopa a la gitana'. Quería saber si es una manera de cocinar, o si significa que contiene ingredientes específicos. Gracias
