Hi, I would like to know the meaning of this clause in the next context:
"Thirteen year I was locked away, a life thrown under the wheel.
As each day passed I never looked back, just a beat down body with a mind intact."
    My try:
"Estuve 13 años encerrado y apartado, una vida sacrificada. Mientras cada día pasó, nunca miré atrás, solo un cuerpo derribado con la mente intacta".
    Lyrics taken from:
    Band: Dying Fetus
    Song: Subjected to a beating
    Thanks by the way.

But Pops as it is metaphoric, what could be a possible trasnlation for it?
    Maybe a crushed life?
