In which cases must we use " a little" and "a few"?

please give me any examples if you could.

    "A little" is used with things that are uncountable: patience, milk, etc.
    "A few" is used with things that can be counted: hours, fingers, etc.

    Some things can be either countable or uncountable, so you can say, for instance, "a few times" (unas veces) or "a little time" (un poquito de tiempo).
