a little amount of money

Is it correct to say "a little amount of money"?

For example, things in flea market are cheap. We can buy everything by spending a little amount of money.

It sounds strange to me, but I learned that money is not countable and "little" is correct.

Thank you.

Note that is not the same thing. You are not saying little money you are saying a little amount.

    Spending little money
    is okay.
    Less money or small/smaller amount.
