Suddenly, a song started blasting from behind me. "A little longer and I'll be fine...!"

    Which sentence is correctly punctuated?

    Thanks.

Which do you think is correct, Karen? And why do you have ellipses (...) at the end of these sentences? Is there more text in them?

This is a question from my son's exam paper. The question is a test on punctuation. I think the ellipses indicates the song had not ended when the writer wrote the sentence.

I feel #1 is correct because of the word 'blasting' in the sentence, but the ellipses makes me wonder if I am right. Thanks.

I really don't see the need for the exclamation point. Since the sentence appears to contain an unfinished song lyric (or thought), I would say #2.
