The sentence below is cited from Fairytale Studios: What Makes a Fairytale a Fairytale? (By Julianne)
This is a story from a long time ago, when the world was still magic.

Can I rewrite the above sentence as:
This is a long time ago story, when the world was still magic.

I think the meanings are same, what do you think ?

    This would be using the phrase "long time ago" as a single adjective that describes the story. This is awkward, at best. Even if it's technically correct, which it might be, it is not good style. Please avoid it.
