a long time has passed

    A long time has passed since this song was heard for the first time. Is this correct? Thank you.

    Yes, it's correct (with "a long" as two words, rather than "along" as in the title of the thread), but I probably would say something like "It's been a long time since this song was first heard / recorded / played / composed etc."
