which of the following is the right sentence for native english speakers:

1. We had a plan to goto new york as its been a long time we went there.
2. We had a plan to goto new york as its been a long time since we went there.
3. we had a plan to go home as its been a long time we went there.

    Hello,
Grammatically, sentence 2 is correct BUT:
    a) "go to" (2 words). (Even in computer coding the "goto" instuction is frowned upon:)).
    b) "New York" (capitals)
    c) "as it has/as it's" (apostrophe - to denote the missing " ha")
