Hello to all,

I am trying to find a verb for this situation to use instead of read:

A part of personality can be read from your handwriting.

Would infer work?

I want to suggest that by looking at a person's handwriting you can understand a little bit of their personality.

Yes, "inferred" works, as does gleaned; gathered; known, demonstrated, unveiled, revealed, etc.

Graphologists claim to be able to glean information about the writer's personality.

Graphology (or graphoanalysis, but not graphanalysis) is the analysis of the physical characteristics and patterns of handwriting claiming to be able to identify the writer, indicating the psychological state at the time of writing, or evaluating personality characteristics.[1] It is generally considered a pseudoscience.[2][3][4][5][6] The term is sometimes incorrectly used to refer to forensic document examination, due to the fact that aspects of the latter dealing with the examination of handwritten documents are occasionally referred to as graphanalysis.
