Puede alguien corregirme este intento de traduccion?:

original: Muchos de estos trabajos, a pesar de no haber sido desarrollados dentro de la tradicion materialista....
mi intento: Much of these works, despite not having been developed in the tradition of the material culture studies

Your translation is fine - except I'm not quite sure why you translate 'materialista' as 'material culture studies' (it's not clear that it means this from the Spanish is it?) Probably you have more context and know that this is correct. Otherwise, I'd just translate it as 'the materialist tradition'.

yes, you are right, the work is talking about material culture studies and that's the meaning materialista had in that quote.
    thank you!!!

A riesgo de meter la pata hasta el fondo, yo diría:

"many of these works, in spite of not having been developed/even though they weren't developed/etc... within the materialistic tradition."
