    Hi Bob ;) Your sentence is grammatically correct, but the intrinsic meaning is that you reproach (and you're not kidding) somebody to having offered you a present while you intended to buy it by yourself.

    Touché! Yes, that was what I felt - like a girl refusing a gift from a guy that keeps hitting on her, or a young man just learning the realities of married life: ... but since my recent wedding, I'm not allowed to do that anymore! ;)
