Hi, everybody,
This is an expression I've come across in the novel by Adrian McKinty "Fifty Grand".
“My mother,” the man whispers, obviously referring to a white-haired
woman sitting in front of a very large TV. A quiz show is on, people jumping
up and down.
Must a quiz show be necessarily an intellectual competition? If it must how to understand " people jumping up and down"?
