Hi everyone, could you please tell me if I need "and" in the following sentence?

We need to provide a safe and non-judgemental environment for patients.

I initially wrote "We need to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment for patients." but I'm wondering if the first version is the right one.

Thank you :)

Grammatically, they are equally correct. It is solely a style choice.

Note that in AE the preferred spelling is "judgmental." I believe BE prefers your listed spelling of "judgemental."

Thank you very much! I guess I have to change non-judgemental to non-judgmental as I live in Canada.
