I just finished The Watermelon Seed by Greg Pizzoli. I need your help to confirm one sentence in the book.

Here's the sentence <-----Link deleted.----->
I like a big, salty slab for dinner
Does it mean a chunk of watermelon with salt on it? Does it have anything to do with 'salt slab'?

Thank you for your help.

    Hello goophy, in the trailer the crocodile clearly has a slice (or slab) of watermelon on the plate at the point where that text appears on the screen, so it means a big slab of watermelon with salt on. Personally I have never put salt on my watermelon, but we have a saying in English, as in many other languages: there's no accounting for taste. It's nothing to do with a salt slab.
