Hello, I am translating this paragraph from the book Surival Strategies for People on the Autism Spectrum by Marc Fleisher and I am not sure about this sentence:

Once you have an idea of how much money you have coming in, you will then need to sit down and work out carefully how much you are expecting to spend per month on items not covered by allowances, a social life and basic living costs.

Is that part ellipsis from "...to spend per month on items not covered by allowances, on a social life and on basic living cost?

Thank you.

It sounds to me rather that these two things are examples of items not covered by an allowance.
In other words, I understand it as "allowances, such as your social life and basic living costs."
