a "thanks for nothing" look?

    "Elliot gives him a "thanks for nothing" look."

    What kind of look does "a "thanks for nothing" look" look like? Thanks.

    This is probably best illustrated by example:

    A: "Excuse me, can you tell me where to buy a book?"
    B: "Try a bookstore."
    A: "Thanks for nothing." :rolleyes:

    Here, "thanks for nothing" is used ironically. B's response was of no help, hence the "for nothing" bit (and the "rolling eyes" emoticon). Can you imagine how you would react if you were person A in the above dialog? If so, that's your "thanks for nothing" look!
