Hi,

Question:
Is the word “of time” optional?

Sentence:
I had a week of time for the preparation.

My opinion:
I think “of time” is optional.
This is because when I say “a week”, people will know it is a period.

Thanks

Just to reinforce SwissPete's answer: "of time" isn't optional; it's unnecessary. You don't get to choose. :)
