Hi, everyone!
I read a book named The Glamour of Grammar recently. I don't understand a word in it.

Synonyms are stored in a thesaurus, a word that means "treasury."

Why use 'that' here, could anyone explain it for me? Thanks in advance!

The word "that" in your sentence is a relative pronoun. It could be replaced by "which".
