A zombie can be strong or tough

Hi, in "Plants vs. zombies", plants shoot the zombies until they fall down, kind of die again.

I wanted to show the differences between "strong" and "weak" zombies, there are zombies twice harder to beat or three times harder than the normal ones.

It's ok to call them "strong"? I know it's more natural and precise to call them "tough", because they don't strike, they just walk slowly to your house, but I wanted to know if I can use "strong" in this case anyway.

Thank you.

I think "strong" is fine to use here - from the WR dictionary for "strong":

    2. solid or robust in construction; not easily broken or injured
