Hello,

I was wondering how to translate « Aber es ist Samstag; Da bin ich lange am Computer ».

There isn't really any context ... my correspondent just said that to me when I said "Don't you have to go now? It's 2AM" ^^

I think it means : « But today is Saturday and __________ computer »

I would appreciate any help :)

Considering colloquial language it can have two meanings:

    1. I will be working at the computer for a long time/long hours. (standard language)
    2. I spend already for a long time at the computer, what else!

In your context it is the first.
The message is: Don't worry. I will not go to bed now. There is enough time.

This is if I understand the context correctly.
