Could you please tell me which of the follow is correct?

Aber hat er schon eine kassette.

or

Aber er hat schon eine kessette.

    They're both correct. The first one is a question; the second one is a declarative statement.

    But does he already have a cassette?

    IMO, it's not meant to be a question, but it's about word order after "aber".

    The coordinating conjunctions und, aber, oder, denn & sondern occupy position 0 ==> [...] then something in position one; then the verb.

    The word order of (1) is wrong for a main clause statement. It would be correct if meant as a question:
