Hello,

A: I had a problem the other day and I had to fix it.
B: And did you fix it?
A: Not exactly.
B: Please tell me what it is about.

Please tell me what is it or it is about?

I don't remember the way to write this sentence.
Would it be please tell me what it is or is it about?

Cheers.

No, that's not exactly what I meant.

How would you grammaticaly say the following.

Please tell me what is it about.
Please tell me what it is about.

    Cheers.

Of the two sentences you are proposing, "Please tell me what it is about" is correct.

As Dimcl suggested, it does not sound particularly natural in the context you provided. Her suggestion of "Please tell me about it" would be more appropriate.
