Hi there,

Dans la phrase "My ma is having a party above the house next saturday, so you should come along."

Que veut dire "above the house" ? Tout simplement "à la maison" ?

The phrase doesn't make sense to me, but that might just be because I live in England where we do not tend to have flat rooves.

If the person has a flat roof, then it might be literally 'on top of the house', otherwise, I guess it might mean 'on the house', as in 'free'.
