abreuver (figuré)

I have been asked to start a new thread on this one, so here I go. What follows is a quote from a recent thread. I checked WR on "abreuve" and found only "to water." The verb is obviously been used in a figurative sense here. Is this common? What would be a good translation of the below? Merci bien comme toujours!

"Tout d'abord je m'excuse pour tous ces termes "techniques" dont je vous abreuve mais ils sont dans BusinessWeek."
