Self-made sentence:

“He was the only absenter / absentee at the meeting today”.

Which word is the correct choice, “absenter” or “absentee”? My answer is “absentee”, but is “absenter” a real word, and how to use it?

    Hello, sunyaer

I don't think I've ever heard "absenter", though I've certainly heard - and used - "absentee":).

(By the way, on "self-made sentence", you might like to look at this thread: self made sentence;).)
