accelerate accessibility development

Could you please tell me whether it's idiomatic to say "accelerate accessibility development" when I want to express the idea that "speed up the development of accessibility features"?

Eg: The new technology and methodology can greatly accelerate accessibility development.

Idiomatic? This isn't the sort of context where you can possibly hope to sound idiomatic. Go for the longer version "speed up the development of accessibility features" -- at least it's comprehensible!
