acceptable difference

Hi,

Please suppose I have 2 "things" that should be filled with "something" the same way, but for some reason they are not.

After the load, one of the "things" has more "something" than the other.

I'd like to know how different those loads can be without causing any problem.

How should I ask the question?

What's the maximum acceptable difference between the 2 things?

How different they can be and still be considered normal?

Thanks.

Spell out small numbers, except when used with a unit of measure (inch, micron), time (hour, nanosecond), etc. Styleguides differ as to what point you should start using numerals; some tell you to spell out only numbers lower than ten, others numbers expressed in two or fewer words, and so on.

Questions require subject and verb to be in reverse order from a normal sentence.
