accident vs incident

Senior Member
I know there are some differences between the two words, but how about this one ?

An "accident" is an event which occurs "unexpectedly",
while an "incident" can be an event that is caused "intentionally".

Am I right ? I'd like to hear opinions of English natives.

Thanks in advance.

You are right, Lovegonta. An accident is always unintentional. An incident can refer to something that was caused intentionally.

Did you look up the two words, Lovegonta? I hope you understand that they are not opposites. An accident is also an incident, and an incident can be accidental.
