accoglimento vs accoglienza

I see from the dictionary that the above words have slightly different meanings. Couls anyone try to explain briefly what the difference is? It appears that accoglimento is more "cold", ie. acceptance of a proposal or something of the sort, and accoglienza is more like a warm welcome (in the family, by your friends etc). Am I on the right track here?

You're right on track!:) I have nothing to add to your definitions. "Accoglienza" is also used in, for instance, "centri di accoglienza"(for immigrants, refugees etc)
