Please help with the following sentences:

-Their gestures pointed to the stranger who was there/present.

-There wasn’t any accommodation.
-There was no accommodation/lodging.


-After saying/uttering a few words that sound strange to the old woman, he left.

-Regardless of her enthusiasm in talking about treasure hunting, he dared to refute/oppose her.

    Please don't post so many unrelated questions in one thread.

    -There wasn’t any accommodation.
    -There was no accommodation/lodging.
    Both these sentences are OK with accommodation.
    Accommodation in this context is not countable, so don't write accommodations.
