accueillir dans les meilleures conditions

Bonjour,

Je voudrais dire à un client louant un gîte:
Afin de vous accueillir dans les meilleures conditions pourriez-vous nous dire à quelle heure vous pensez arriver ?

J'hésite entre receive et welcome:

In order to best receive/welcome you, would you be so kind as to tell us what time you plan on arriving?

Merci pour vos conseils!

Yes, "bid you welcome" or more simply "welcome you."

Or you could say: "In order to ensure the best possible start to your stay, would you be so kind..."

Yes, it does (can't explain why!).
"We'll be there to receive you" -- "...there to welcome you" sounds more natural.
"In order to receive you" -- "...to welcome you" sounds much better. (In the US, at least, we receive packages; we don't commonly receive people.)

Another way to write your sentence: "So that we may greet you properly, would you be so kind..."
Or: "So that we may welcome you properly, would you be so kind..."

Thanks so much for your remarks and from keeping me from receiving people like packages!
