In this passage, an artist describes the state of mind he must be in to paint. He tells a friend he can't do anything to encourage this state, that it has to come on its own. He says, "c'est une histoire compliquee, une sorte d'accusation."
I don't really understand what he means by accusation. I tried: "It's a complicated matter, a sort of accusation"...
Any suggestions?
