    Where is this quote from? Is it from the US, UK, Australia, or some other country?

    The most appropriate word to replace "ad" is "starting". That's what it would say in the US: "30 days starting from the date of notification".

    Perhaps in some specific country, province or city, "ad" has become a standard contract abbreviation for "advancing" and is used in this kind of clause.
