Hi,

I would like to translate this sentence "adapter ce livre au cinéma". I was thinking about maybe "fit this novel to the cinema" but I'm not sure.
Is there someone who has any idea.
By the way, do you know how to say "adapter au petit écran"???

Thanks

"Adapter ce livre au cinéma" veut dire "to adapt the book for film." In movie credits, it is said "adapted for film by . . ."

"Adapter au petit écran" is "to adapt for the small screen." "The small screen" means television.

I mean, I'm talking about the fact that a movie maker decides to use a book as a reference in order to make a movie. It's like Harry Potter which can be watch at the cinema but it was first a novel!
