addition- Cinco más cinco

Hola,

When adding, or doing math, in Spanish if you have "cinco más cinco" is it "son diez" or "es diez." If your answer is zero, would you use "son", or "es"?

    You can say both. As it comes from es igual a (=) the short form is usually es. But we also say son being more colloquial.
    And instead of más we might say y.
    Cinco más cinco es (igual a) diez.
    Cinco y cinco son diez. (Colloquial)

    With zero it's always es.
