Administration vs running

    In the following multiple-choice exercise:
    The job includes a huge amount of day-to-day ...
    a Administration B running C provision D conduct

    The correct answer is "administration". However, I can't see clearly why "running" is incorrect, as it means "the act of administering something, as in "He was responsible for the running of two companies"". Thank you

    For one thing, "running" is ambiguous (except for professional competitors in track events, e.g. a marathon)
